Oh man. I have been unable to sleep for weeks, waiting and hoping . . .
I'll be posting a link to some favourite Mercedes Sosa soon... but I've chosen another song for this historic day. May the best man win.
Yes! I made it to the polls in Riverdale at about 7:45 this morning. There was a small line (well, big for Riverdale) out the door and things were a bit disorganized but everybody was in a great mood. Let's have some good news tonight. We need it!
Greg - we in the UK are also excited about your election and the prospect of a new beginning - do hope all goes to plan. Best wishes.
Voted yesterday. Did you know that the county will send someone to your house if you're unable to go to the poll due to a disability? I'm unable to stand for very long and so they sent someone out yesterday and I was able to vote from home. I didn't realize they did that. I was very grateful.
Nearly three hours to vote this morning, and now we're in the home stretch. I'll be up all night.
Terri,
I did not know they did that...interesting. I heard on CNN today that the military has to mail in their ballots, but because the military mail is so slow, they've yet to receive the ballots to mail in. So, those who are putting their very l ives on the line aren't even able to have say in the election. Not fair.
We have lots to be happy for.
YES WE DID!
